34 Years of Marriage,♥️ The passing of a Hero, and more!

July... what a month!

34 Year Anniversary:

July has filled my gratitude cup to overflowing! My wife, Chelsea, and I celebrated 34 years of marriage, and I’m reminded of Proverbs 31:10, which speaks of the wife of noble character. Other than my salvation, Chelsea is the greatest gift God has given to me, and I truly count myself the most blessed man on earth to have her as my best friend, wife, and mother of our six children. She is the definition of true beauty, and I am in constant awe of the wisdom, grace, conviction, and unconditional love she moves through the world with. I would say I hope everyone gets to meet someone like her in their life, but there truly is no one else like her…

A wife of noble character who can find?
    She is worth far more than rubies.
11  Her husband has full confidence in her
    and lacks nothing of value.
[…]
25  She is clothed with strength and dignity;
    she can laugh at the days to come.
26  She speaks with wisdom,
    and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
[…]
28  Her children arise and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
29  “Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”
30  Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

The Kirk Cameron Show:

Over the past couple months, the Kirk Cameron Show has quickly become a main area of focus for me! I am having an absolute blast hosting it with my youngest son, James. In the past few weeks, we’ve covered topics like AI, John Macarthur’s legacy, Elon Musk’s controversy, the Texas Floods, why God allows suffering, and more. New Episodes drop every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on “The Kirk Cameron Show” youtube!

Ready for something new?

A few years ago, I made the decision to switch my family’s healthcare away from the scam-filled traditional healthcare companies and instead join Christian Healthcare Ministries. I can say without a doubt this was one of the best decisions I’ve made in regards to our family’s health, and I am thrilled that I can now share it with all of you! I love being part of a biblical community that bands together to share each other’s medical costs, pray for one another, and further the values of Christ’s kingdom on earth.

Not only is CHM in alignment with my biblical values, but it also is more affordable and honest. It gives me greater freedom in the network of doctors I can use, and (as a cash paying customer), I often get up to a 50% discount on medical bills compared to those using traditional health insurance. I wholeheartedly encourage you to check out Christian Healthcare Ministries for yourself and see the options they have perfectly suited for you and your family!

A Hero of the Faith:

The passing of a friend and hero of mine, John MacArthur, has left me with an ache and real sense of loss. John was a pillar for the very core beliefs that define our lives as followers of Christ. He represents a generation that laid the foundation for ours and all those to follow. He and others did much of the ploughing, the hard work, at a time when the American church was hardened to the truth of scripture and the gospel. He wrote a book called “The Gospel According to Jesus,” which was like a John the baptist response to the mealy, evan(jelly fish) approach to scripture, that denied the inerrancy, sufficiency, and authority of scripture and began to twist the gospel into something that it was not. I am forever thankful that, when I came to faith, John MacArthur was one of those who spoke truth plainly to me!

Chelsea and I listened to hundreds of John MacArthur sermons in our house. Our family would often repeat the phrase “Johnny Mac is the bomb!” He had an unwavering commitment to teaching the scriptures accurately and honored God by honoring His holy Word.

Even if you were not directly familiar with John MacArthur’s ministry, you have very likely been impacted by his influence on your pastor, a parent, or a mentor. He was truly a hero of the faith. Rock solid. He was “the bomb,” and now he’s face to face with Jesus. It gives me immense joy to picture him hearing those very well-deserved words: “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
