We broke a World Record (and more life updates)!
We Broke a World Record! On June 1st, Guinness recorded the World’s Largest Drag Queen Story Hour- 263 in attendance. Over 35,000 people, joining hands with Brave Books and I, crushed it as we attended the World's Largest Wholesome Story Hour in 350 libraries in 50 states! Parents, grandparents, and children gathering in public libraries on August 24th to sing patriotic and God-honoring songs, pray, and read books of biblical stories, character and virtue, sent the Purple Hair Platoon and the Drag Queen Thugs into a spin-cycle. These wholesome story hours, organized by everyday moms and dads and concerned citizens has ignited a fire of conviction in the hearts of millions and is encouraging people to make a difference in their own neighborhoods! |
God bless CHM!
One of the highlights of my month was visiting Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM) in person! Rather than a stiff metal and glass high rise, CHM's headquarters is located in a beautifully renovated and converted high school, revitalizing the surrounding neighborhood with life-giving jobs, a spirit of joy, and world-class healthcare! My tour guide, CEO Craig Brown, graciously introduced me to the hundreds of kind-hearted employees, allowed me participate in their weekly staff chapel service, and gave me a sneak peek into new medical initiatives that will revolutionize healthcare at a fraction of the price for their members. I'm so thankful to God that I and my family and business are no longer a part of the traditional "sick-care" insurance system, but instead members of a biblical alternative- Christian Healthcare Ministries! |
The Best Comeback Ever |
What's more thrilling than an against-all-odds, unexpected comeback for the win?! My new adult trade book, Born to Be Brave: How To Be a Part of America's Spiritual Comeback will be released on Oct. 8. I want you to get a copy because it will give you, as a person of faith, hope and courage in the midst of the moral and cultural dumpster-fire we are experiencing in America. In it, I'll show you how our enemies are not too big to overcome and that culture is ours to shape, how our Christian backstory gives us direction for our children's future, and how to engage your family, friends, and workmates with Gospel truths that will bring transformation to our nation! God did not journey from heaven to Earth to make us cowards in the face of evil; we were born to be brave. Get your copy at the link below! |
American Campfire Revival is back!
I've reignited my backyard campfires every Sunday and Wednesday night at 8 PM ET to gather the Family of Faith to humble ourselves, pray, and seek Wisdom from above about our families, our faith, and our nation's future. This time, we are in Tennessee, my new home, and I'm working with my sons (music and production) to deliver more hope and courage than ever before. Please look for it live on Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube every Monday night!
A New Era of Children’s TV
Remember Mr. Rogers? Sesame Street? Remember when children's TV was categorically good, true and trustworthy? I just wrapped filming the first two seasons of Brave Books and my new children's TV show called, "The Adventures of Iggy and Mr. Kirk." It's a modernized version of Mr. Rogers meets a Bible-friendly Sesame Street, staring an adorable little 5 year old iguana named "Iggy." I adopted him into my family and we are raising him in this challenging culture. Iggy and I tell fun, adventurous stories and teach kids biblical values while we dazzle them with beautiful animation, masterful puppeteering, hilarious dialogue, and give some serious Mr. Roger's vibes (bomber-jacket instead of a cardigan sweater, night time blessing and a faith-based lullaby)! Coming to you this fall everywhere!
I will leave you with this quote that I’ve been thinking a lot about this month. It reminds of of the what our families, companies, nation, and world needs in order to move towards truth and unity instead of chaos and division.
“Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow. So one hundred worshipers met together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be, were they to become 'unity' conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship.”
― A.W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God: The Human Thirst for the Divine
God bless you!
